I’m a pretty normal girl. I can usually tuck away my quirks and blend in with a crowd when I try. But, y’all, when fall rolls around, I let the freak flag fly. I’m from West by God Virginia, the most beautiful place on the planet that gets even MORE gorgeous in the fall. When you get me started on my favorite season or what I like so much about autumn, it’s all over. I’m like Bubba Gump talking about shrimp. So, for that reason, I feel that I was born to be your official tour guide to all things fall, which of course means pumpkin EVERYTHING in the kitchen.
This fall, I’ll no doubt harass you with photos of changing leaves (look, just LOOK at it!) and 11ty billion soup recipes (not even playing), but we’re going to kick this party off with all things pumpkin. This week, I’ll be releasing a recipe each day that features fall’s best girl: pumpkin spice. Keep checking back so you don’t miss any delicious, macro-hacked pumpkin wonders. And please know I’ve tested all these recipes while wearing yoga pants, Uggs, and a scarf with a Starbucks cup in my hand. There really is only one recipe to kick off a week like this and it is, of course, the PSL (pumpkin spice latte). I LOVE them, obvi, and so does the rest of the world. They usher in the season like the first yellow leaf each fall. Starbucks has previously held the reigns on when fall actually begins based upon when they release the PSL (I realize there’s a calendar and equinox and whatnot, but really, the first PSL = first day of fall), but I decided to take matters into my own hands and get this party started TODAY! So without further adieu, I give you the amazing, macro-hacked MacroEd Protein PSL. Enjoy!

Next up, Protein Pumpkin Donuts!!! I can’t even stand how good these are and they were a total fluke/kitchen fail. No worries. All’s well that ends well and these ended SO well. I wanted to share them with EVERYONE but my kids ate them before I could. So, yeah, totally preschooler-approved!

Chocolate Chip Pumpkin Protein Cookie Dough! (say that 3 times really quickly!) It may not be much to look at, but, man, is it delicious!
