Macro-Hacked Thanksgiving

They say, “Don’t promise when you’re happy.  Don’t reply when you’re angry.  And don’t decide when you’re sad.”

promise

I say, “They (whoever they are) are right!”

So, defending your dissertation will evidently make you feel invincible and hyper productive.  That’s where I was when I promised a recipe every day in November.  Shortly thereafter, we took on an entire kitchen and living room remodel and my doctoral high evened out.  So, we’re sitting at 12 days into November and I’ve shared 3 recipes so far.  I’m so sorry!

Please allow me to play catch up.  I promise this month will have bunches more recipes than normal, they just may not be trickling out day-by-day.  It may not be that all of the recipes have experience their MacroEd macro-hack magic and be listed in MFP ready to roll for you, BUT they will be awesome and close to what I’d have you do to them.

First in line is our Thanksgiving series.  I worked with the ever-amazing Dinah Taylor (of FeedingGerSasser.com) and Amber Pauley (of all MacroEd wonderfulness) to create a Thanksgiving menu that you can replicate at your house.  We have a (delicious) meat, two sides (one cheesy, one savory/sweet), and the most fantastic pumpkin dessert.  We had the honor of cooking this complete meal at Huntington’s Kitchen this week with a bunch of our members and some other friends.  I don’t want to say it’s the most delicious, macro-friendly Thanksgiving meal ever created…but I sure can’t think of any others that would rival it.  It was such a fun night spending time cooking and eating with our MacroEd family.  If you ever get a chance to attend one of our classes, I encourage you to do so.  They’re fun and insightful (I hope)!

Here’s our Thanksgiving menu:
Double Cherry Pork Tenderloin
Southern Squash Casserole
Roasted Brussel Sprouts (there are roasted grapes in this, y’all…I can’t even explain how good they are…make this, please)
Pumpkin Pie Protein Cheesecake

You can visit the individual recipes in the links above or download our MacroEd Thanksgiving printable with all of them in one spot (it’ll just cost you an email address).

Feel free to pick and choose whichever recipes will serve your Thanksgiving plans best, or copy the whole meal and let us do the planning for you.  These all played together REALLY well.

I’ll be in touch more about how to plan for and navigate your celebration as Thanksgiving gets closer. (hint: I’m gonna tell you to enjoy your day…and double your protein serving at dinner)  But what I want you to know the most about Thanksgiving is that Jeremy and I are thankful for YOU.  This year has been the weirdest, wildest thing for us as we’ve come to know our MacroEd family and developed our program to care for you.  But we’ve had SUCH a great time and are beyond grateful that you’ve trusted us and joined our little community.  You guys have made this year one of the most fun and rewarding for both of us.  Whether you’re a macro-pro or you’re just hanging around trying to get the hang of things and checking out the recipes, we are glad you’re here and we are so thankful for you.

Have a great day.  Be on the lookout for more recipes to come (who knows how and when).  I think you’re amazing.

All the best,

Signature
